Lyndi

The phone rang at 4am. Her fumbling lunge knocks a bottle to the floor, it’s fall broken by the old dog’s matted shoulder. Milky, bread pudding eyes flash dim, as a long groan pulls Spud to his feet.

  4. Ok, a matted dog with pudding eyes named Spud? YOU ROCK. I love this dog, I want to know more about the girl who owns him.
    Came from the Trifextra linkup.

  5. I could feel the dog's loyalty. It reminded me of my grandmother's cat, who became very resourceful in my grandmother's alcoholic decline. Petunia could turn on the water faucet herself and drink from it, she could rip into cat food packets effortlessly, even if she needed to open the box first.

  6. I love the way the animal is interrupted here by the phone. So often we forget that it isn't only us out here ...
