Um, is it bad that I told my sister the opposite thing the week before her wedding? She was angry at me for years, partly because I wasn't wrong just, she thought, too late.
They're still together and it seems to have worked out.
Thanks for linking up to this weekend's challenge. I love the depth of your story, carried out through such simple sentences. There are lots of different ways to interpret this, but my favorite is that the bride was right. People get so nuts about weddings, it's easy to see friends or family members push an unwilling bride down the aisle. Nicely done. Hope you'll come back on Monday for our weekday prompt.
wedding day jitters. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that this can go either way. Either she's in the right and needs to end it, or she's just being silly.
ReplyDeleteCame from the Trifecta link.
Good thing she believed her friend. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess I never understood cold feet. Never had them.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness her friend smoothed her mind. Would have been a huge fork in the road! Over from Trifecta.
ReplyDeleteoooooooooooh, pushy friend? is the main character one of those doormat people who only does what people tell her to, never thinking for herself?
ReplyDeletelike that this piece makes you think.........
