Anthrapology

Anthrapology

A life lived gloriously
A death grieved through ceremony
Tender hands laid on in ritual
Eons at peace.
A rude awakening
Jaw cracked, soul spilt
Rough hands degrade
An entire culture is violated.

  1. Thanks so much for linking up to this weekend's Trifextra Challenge. This is a great little poem--so much done in so few words. I love the structure here--the opening filled with positivity and peace through culture and tradition, and then second half violent and harsh. You've done a fantastic job with word choice here. I hope you'll come back and see us again on Monday for the weekday challenge.
